Inspiration / Dick Ket

I recently was introduced to the work of Dick Ket via the Weimar Blog. A brilliant draughtsman and painter whose work fell under the category of "Magic Realism". Unfortunately his life was cut short by a serious heart birth defect (tetralogy of Fallot). As a result of his sickness and and the phobias attached to it Ket only painted subjects which did not require him to leave the house (still lifes and portraits).
